Central State Bank, Benzie County’s full-service community bank, is calling upon the community to help feed the hungry this holiday season. The bank has kicked off its annual food drive, Project Holiday, and will be collecting canned and non-perishable food items at its two locations through Wednesday December 18, 2013.
“We don’t want those less fortunate members of our community to go hungry this time of year,” said Norman G. Campbell, Central State Bank President & CEO. “We hope that the people of Benzie County will answer our call to action and donate food to Project Holiday 2013.”
Donations are being accepted at Central State Bank’s Beulah office, located at 49 Benzie Boulevard, and at its Benzonia office, located at 1669 S. Benzie Highway. Items can be dropped off at the offices Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
“Project Holiday is a wonderful example of how just a little effort from members of the community can brighten the lives of so many,” said Mr. Campbell. “If people will think to drop off a can or two of food each week when cashing a paycheck, we will be able to feed hundreds of hungry mouths this holiday season.”
This year marks the 29th anniversary of Central State Bank’s Project Holiday. For more information, please call 882-4462 or 882-4476.
