Plans are underway for the eleventh annual Frankfort Rotary Community Revue Talent Show which is scheduled to take place on Friday, June 7th, 2013 at the Benzie Central High School Auditorium. Doors for the event open at 6:00 p.m.
Preshow band, “Robert Abate and The Bigtimers” begin playing at 6:30 p.m. At 7:00, the Benzie Central Chamber Choir, under direction of Christy Case, will sing the National Anthem, and the talent show goes on from there. Intermission entertainment will be provided by a well known musical group, “Fish and the Chips.” A returning crowd favorite is the Central State Bank "Chicken Fried Chicks" who will perform a couple of humorous commercials to promote the upcoming August 3rd, Rotary Chicken BBQ.
Something exciting for Central State Bank this year is that one of its very own front-line employees, Michele Hartley, will be an emcee! She will not be alone. Jason Richards, the newest owner of the Benzonia and Manistee McDonald’s restaurants, will join her.
The Community Revue is a variety show featuring local area talent of all ages. "Each year the Revue takes on a life and personality of its own," said Revue Chairman, Lindy Evans. "Even with some returning veteran performers, no two Rotary Revue's have been the same."
Tickets are $5.00 each and are available for purchase now at Central State Bank in Benzonia. Proceeds from the Revue benefit the Willoughby Rotary Foundation, a tax-exempt charitable organization under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Questions about the Revue should be directed to Lindy Evans at (231) 882-4154.
